Em novembro de 2023, membros da equipa do FIREUSES levaram o projeto às salas de aula de três instituições do ensino superior nacional – a Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa, a Universidade Autónoma e a NOVA FCSH. Os alunos das duas primeiras frequentam licenciaturas em História; os da terceira, a licenciatura em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais. Foi discutido o tema dos incêndios no passado e no presente, e suas causas históricas e sócio-ecológicas, para além de aspetos metodológicos associados ao estudo dos usos do fogo em contexto interdisciplinar.
In november 2023, members of the FIREUSES team took the project to the classrooms of three higher education Portuguese institutions - the Faculty of Letters - University of Lisbon, the Autónoma University and the NOVA FCSH. The students at the first two were studying for a degree in History; those at the third were studying for a degree in Political Science and International Relations. They discussed the subject of wildfires in the past and present, and their historical and socio-ecological causes, as well as methodological aspects associated with the study of the uses of fire in an interdisciplinary context.
