O Jornal de Negócios publicou no passado dia 13 de setembro uma longa entrevista com a professora e investigadora Ana Isabel Queiroz acerca do seu trabalho sobre literatura, história e ambiente. Em particular, a investigadora, que é também co-Investigadora Responsável no projeto de investigação Paisagens de Fogo, explicou de que forma a literatura portuguesa do século XX foi útil para aceder quer à história dos usos do fogo em espaço rural – nas suas dimensões agrícolas, mas também de resistência política e ecológica às arborizações do Estado Novo –, quer ainda à emergência dos grandes incêndios em Portugal e às suas repercussões mais recentes na literatura.
On 13 September 2024, the Jornal de Negócios published a long interview with professor and researcher Ana Isabel Queiroz about her work on literature, history and the environment. In particular, the researcher, who is also co-Principal Investigator of the Paisagens de Fogo research project, explained how 20th century Portuguese literature was helpful in accessing both the history of the use of fire in rural areas – in its agricultural and political resistance dimensions – and the emergence of major fires in Portugal and their more recent repercussions in literature.
