O projeto FIREUSES foi convidado a participar no encontro Patrimónios (In)Comuns: Perspetivas e Legados Não Antropocêntricos para Futuros Mais-do-que-Humanos, organizado pelo Laboratório Associado IN2PAST no Colégio das Artes, Coimbra. Numa reunião durante dois dias de antropólogos, artistas plásticos, cientistas do clima, juristas, urbanistas e historiadores, entre outras áreas de trabalho atravessadas pelas transformações ecológica, epistémica e política que marcam o tempo presente, o investigador Miguel Carmo procurou resumir a experiência de quatro de anos pesquisa coletiva no projeto FIREUSES, da qual destacou as escolhas metodológicas, os desafios da pesquisa numa equipa multidisciplinar e os resultados obtidos. O resumo que aqui se apresenta permite vislumbrar os temas em discussão.
The FIREUSES project was invited to participate in the meeting (Un)Common Heritage: Non-Anthropocentric Perspectives and Legacies for More-than-Human Futures, organised by the IN2PAST Associated Laboratory at the College of Arts, Coimbra. At a two-day meeting of anthropologists, visual artists, climate scientists, law experts, urban planners, and historians, among other fields of work affected by the ecological, epistemic, and political transformations that mark the present time, researcher Miguel Carmo sought to summarize the experience of four years of collective research in the FIREUSES project, highlighting the methodological choices, the challenges of research in a multidisciplinary team, and the results obtained. The extended summary presented here, entitled ‘The history of fire and fire in history: Concepts, methods, and results of the FIREUSES project,’ provides an overview of the topics under discussion.
