Decorreu na passada primavera na Sardenha (de 3 a 6 de maio) a III ICFBR, conferência de âmbito internacional sobre comportamento de fogo e risco de incêndio, onde a investigadora e meteorologista Ilda Novo apresentou alguns resultados do trabalho em curso no IPMA em colaboração com o FIREUSES. O foco recaiu sobre situações de fogo extremo em Portugal durante as últimas décadas e os padrões ou tipos de circulação sinóptica associados historicamente a períodos críticos, entre 1980 e 2018. No dia 15 de agosto, a revista Environmental Sciences Proceedings publicou a ata da apresentação após revisão científica, que partilhamos abaixo.
The III ICFBR, an international conference on fire behavior and fire risk, took place last spring in Sardinia (3-6 May), where the researcher and meteorologist Ilda Novo presented some results of ongoing work at IPMA in collaboration with FIREUSES. The focus was on extreme fire situations in Portugal during the last decades and the patterns, or types, of synoptic circulation historically associated with critical periods, between 1980 and 2018. On August 15, the journal Environmental Sciences Proceedings published the abstract of the presentation after scientific review, which is shared below.
