This fonds is composed of one book, the "Tombo Velho" of the Church of São Tiago in Óbidos, with an inventory of the church's real estate dated from March 20, 1503. It also includes the "Tombo Novo" (New Inventory) from June 1, 1537; a record of a rental; a privilege letter given by King Manuel I on August 1, 1498; and a list of silver objects belonging to the church. The "Tombo Velho" of 1503 mentions the name of Jews recently converted to Christianity who continued to live in the Rua Nova, the area of the former "judiaria" (Jewish quarter) of Óbidos.

Administrative / Biographical history
-
The collegiate body of the church of São Tiago in Óbidos was instituted by King Sancho I, and it was composed of one prior and seven beneficiaries. The institution was confirmed by papal bull around 1200. This collegiate body became part of the Royal "Padroado" (patronage) of the Queen.
In 1848, the assets and incomes of the Collegiate of São Tiago were applied to the maintenance of the Seminário Patriarcal (Patriarchal Seminary) of Santarém and, in the following year, part of its documents was also transferred to the seminary's registry. Another part was delivered to the Royal Hospital of Caldas da Rainha. The documents that were in the seminary were transferred to the Arquivo da Torre do Tombo in 1862. The other records under the custody of the Royal Hospital were later integrated into the Arquivo Distrital de Leiria.
