Boston, January 12th 1767

Your favour of 31st rett.º did not come to hand till 10th Inst. observe you had received the fish per Locht, the tabby per Mr. Mumford, as also sales of oil and bone per Eldridge and Sheirman, all which am glad to find proves to acceptance, Mr. Smith having been punctual in paying for the oil and bone shall pay your order favour, Samuel Sanford for £46.10/ when presented, and now inclose you Saml. Momford’s receipt for £184.3.4 / lawful money, being what I am in cask for your account. I had carried off the ballance of your account in my books before the receipt of your letter, being £247.1.8 / lawful money I now send you, with your (above) order reduces the ballance due to you to £16.8. 3 ¾ as per inclosed account current, which sum is yet outstanding as per my letter of 3d November last.
P.S.: If you find the account right please to favour me with the reserve and I will transmit you Mr. Isaacks’s order on.
