Synopsis
-
Pereira Mendes tells Lopez that he had dispatched his previous letter by Captain Bradfield with invoice and bill for 100 casks molasses on Lopez's account. He is waiting news of the Swansey(?), Captain Bradfield. He had not yet accomplished the sale of Lopez's cashe beef. Complaints regarding its poor quality. "If you should resolve to send any more it must be good and very fat". Mr. Ribeiro sent one bag that would sell to advantage. He encloses a letter to his brother (Abraham Pereira Mendes) and other from Mr Henriques (Aron Nunes Henriques) to him. The letter includes a list of prices of several goods: sugar, rum, molasses, ginger, cashe [beef], mahogany, logwood, flour, codfish, shads, other fishes, rice, oil, spermaceti candles and boards.
