Synopsis: Ship: America. Captain: Jeremiah Osborne. Destination: Lisbon. Lopez had already given him instructions to charge his ship Pitt in the hands of William Stead. In case he cannot meet with any encouraging freight from London to Newport, he should procure freight from London to Lisbon. In case of either of those chances failing, he should take in a load of suitable coal for the Lisbon market, informing himself of the particular sort used in Lisbon, to where he should proceed immediately. On his arrival in Lisbon, he should apply to Mayne & Co. and deliver them the enclosed letter and follow their directions, delivering them the cargo, which they shall exchange by salt and etc. Then, he should proceed Newport.
