Synopsis: Ship: Jacob. Captain: Samuel Wiswall. Destination: Martha's Vineyard. In Martha's Vineyard, Wiswall should attend the arrival of Francis Rotch, who will furnish him the instructions and provide him with a suitable crew for the ship proceeding on the whaling voyage. If Rotch is detained at Boston and absent of Vineyard in the course of 3 days after Wiswall's arrival, Lopez wants him to begin to ship such hands as may offer that he knows are well acquainted with the whaling activity. In Rotch's absence, Wiswall should follow Leonard Jarvis's directions, if he is in Vineyard.
