Synopsis: Sloop: Abigail. Captain: Benjamin Allen. Destination: Jamaica. Allen should choose the port or ports in Jamaica to land that he may judge best for the disposal of the cargo, whose effects should be invested in molasses. The staves and headings that he has onboard should be delivered to Benjamin Wright. Rum and sugar are dull articles in Newport, but if Allen should be forced to take either of them in exchange for some of the goods, Lopez desires Allen to attend to the proof of the rum and ensures that it will suit the London market. Lopez had addressed a vessel to Benjamin Wright with an intention that it shall proceed to London. Allen should deliver the sugar and rum to Wright to load this vessel.
