Synopsis
Snow: Flora. Captain: Thomas Forrester. Destination: St John's, Newfoundland. In St John's, Forrester should deliver the cargo to George Sears, merchant there. Lopez gave Sears instructions to dispose of the snow. However, in case that cannot be done Lopez instructs Forrester to procure a freight for the Flora to any part where the interest of the voyage will be most advantageous. Lopez supposes that the destination of the voyage will lead Forrester to the Mediterranean or any part of the West Indies. In this case, he should sell the snow for not under £800 in good and approved bills of exchange remitted to Hayley & Hopkins, in London, on Lopez's account, together with the proceeds of the cargo. If Forrester cannot dispose of the snow and a good freight or charter for it offers to any part of the world, he may accept it. If neither of these chances presents, then he should return home with a load of good salt and other effects that could best answer Newport's market.
