Synopsis
-
Marache informs Lopez that Lawton has been in New York and "make no doubt that affair will be settled". He expects Lopez to send him 50 boxes of spermaceti candles. No further notices "in regard of the commissions in dispute". Marache expects to see Lopez in the Spring. Hayman Levy is in Albany and is expected in New York shortly. In P.S., Marache adds that if it was not convenient for Lopez to supply him with the candles, to apply to Jacob Rodriguez Rivera to ship him the said 50 boxes. Later, Marache adds that, after having written this letter, he acquainted "the underwritters" with what Lopez "wrote in regard to the 2 per cent return premium on the Greyhound", Jamaica, but they did not seem to be satisfied with this proposal.
