Livingston refers to the “affair of I. Polock”. He wrote to Mr Cooke informing him that he was willing to drop his action against him under the condition of paying him the one half down and the other half 12 months after with good security. Livingston also mentions another bill that he sent to Champlin on Francis and Jacob Polock and that he had waited on Moses M. Hayes several times, who informed him that he had nothing in hands from that house.
