Synopsis
-
Daniel Crommelin & Sons inform Lopez that Captain Farrel was detained at Texel on August 23 by contrary winds, but they are hopeful that he had already arrived at St. Eustatius. An offer was made to receive 2000 lb of spermaceti candles at 18 stuyvers by next Spring. Crommelin & Sons hope that Lopez should be able to afford them to sell at that price. Other commodities that Crommelin & Sons encourage to sell in Amsterdam: refined sassafras, logwood and rice. The situation with Chabanel is still unsolved.
