Synopsis: Lopez informs Brown & Co. that “the gentleman you mention” in a previous letter agreed to attend “our meeting” (candle manufacturers?) on Thursday morning. “Mr. Slocum engages to acquaint Mr. Stowland therewith”. Paul Allen took up goods to the amount of the 30 tons of pig iron that Brown & Co. promised to send. Lopez asks them to send the pig iron before May 25 since it must go to the bottom of the ship and he cannot take any other goods before the iron has laid a foundation.
