Synopsis: Lopez answers a question put by Brown & Co. in a previous letter regarding when he expected his assortment. He tells that it depends on the time the voyage of Captain Hannars to and from London takes; but, he is expected to be in Newport before October 10. Lopez will want about 2000 weights of spermaceti candles and proposes a price to Brown & Co. payable on the arrival of his assortments on the same terms as the pig iron. He also asks Brown & Co. to inform him if they are interested in freight oil by his brigantine, which will sail before the middle of October.
