Synopsis: Brown & Co. have 27 or 28 tons of pure white oil, but they disagree with the value offered by Lopez for freight. They propose a lower load or the option of Lopez purchasing it. Brown & Co. also suggest selling spermaceti candles to Lopez at a special price, “as you are a brother manufacturer”. They ask him about the cost of 6 or 7 hogsheads of Jamaica rum.
