Synopsis
-
Brown & Co. insist with Lopez that putting charges on packages is not a common practice and they had never been charged for that by his friends in England. They give other examples to illustrate it. They are also alert to other misunderstandings, namely in the advanced payments for glass. The pig iron should be sent to Lopez after Sunday, “and we are desirous that they should be as you mention According to Agreement. But it seems the Difficulty is to know what the agreement was”. They ask Lopez to clarify it and rectify the mentioned errors as sons as possible. They ask Lopez to advise them on the weight of the pig iron sold in London.
