Synopsis
-
Lopez informs that he received Brown & Co.’s previous letter, advising that they had Jeremiah Hills’ order on him for £145.12 accepted by Moses Lopez, “a young man that attends my shop”. Lopez considers that it should be a mistake since he had never sold any goods to the drawer, whom he had employed as a blacksmith. “Nevertheless, if my young man has (thro’ ignorance) wrote on the order an acceptance for goods at 60 per cent, it must stand good”. He does not need any goods Brown & Co. listed in their previous letter. In P.S., Lopez adds that he would be interested in receiving ravens duck if they had some to dispatch. In exchange, Lopez can send them window glass or any other kind of goods he has in his store.
