Synopsis: Lopez entrusted Mr Dolbeare to make the payment of 40 tons of pig iron at the price Nicholas Brown & Co. offered. 20 tons should be shipped by the first packet and the remaining 20 by the last of the month. Lopez engages to pay Nicholas Brown & Co. either in Rhode Island three months from the delivery or to place an equivalent amount in the hands of Hayley & Hopkins in London five months from the delivery. Mr Dolbeare should decide which is the best option. “I pray you’ll attend to see that the piggs are good and merchandisable, of a grey kind if possible and that a proper allowance is made on weighing it”.
