This collection comprises genealogical and biographical documents of 18th and 19th-century American Jewish families and individuals. It includes copies of diaries, deeds, wills, marriage contracts, historical sketches, business papers, church and synagogue records, genealogies and copies of letters. For instance, this collection includes copies of Moses Lopez's certificate of naturalisation and license to produce potash (box 11, folder 13; and box 16, folder 22), abstracts of marriage records of the Shearith Israel from 1759 to 1779 (box 13, folder 11), annotations regarding John Charles de Lucena (box 11, folder 15) or the origins of the Seixas family (box 14, folders 21-22), and copies of the wills of Abraham de Lucena (box 16, folder 5) and Abraham Mendes Seixas (box 16, folder 35).
