Synopsis
Crommelin & Sons inclose Lopez's account current of May 30, 1775. They forwarded Lopez's letter to John Martin Leake Esq., as he had requested, and they are waiting for his reply. Crommelin & Sons have Lopez's four bills (120 dollars) on the commissioners at Paris. Lopez's former seven bills on the said commissioners had been credited, and Crommelin & Sons enclose the amounts. They will invest the net proceeds of Lopez's funds in two chests of Bohea tea and the remainder in wine glasses and tumblers, which will be dispatched by the brig Kity, Captain Daniel Loving. Crommelin & Sons mention the recommendation that Lopez gave on Haiam Levy and they tell him that they are willing to serve Levy.
P.S.: "as in the actual situation of affairs so little can be depended on the safe arrival of vessels; we presume that it would be best you left us at liberty; to forward your orders; by such opportunity as might offer here for your Continent."
