Crommelin & Sons had not received any letter from Mr. Kennedy, although the arrival of vessels from Suriname. They attached a copy letter from May 30, 1774, in which they informed Lopez that they had received the payment of the bill by Talousy. They were surprised for Mr. Kennedy having not mentioned nothing in regard to Lopez’s Suriname bill. Troubled financial situation in Suriname. Negotiation of Lopez’s remmitance draft of Francis Rotch on Hayley & Hopkins. They “hope that then the situation of America may be such as to encourage you and us to resume our former correspondence”. They delivered a letter that Lopez sent to Mr Chabanel.
