Synopsis
Lopez decided to transport a hogshead of rum to Philadelphia only to make up a load with other goods and despite the low market for this good, but Mears considers that this would not be a good decision and Mears ended up not dispatching it. “I assure you the advancement of your interest was my sole object in deviating so far from the orders you left me”. James Jarvis told him that he has about £2500 in Philadelphia, which he would be glad to have in a bill. Mears suggests if this money would be of any service to Lopez there, he will take Lopez’s bill for it.
