Synopsis
-
Mears sends by his neighbour Mr Cannon, who is going to set out for Boston, a bonnet, a box of plumes and a cap that the teamster had left in Norwalk last Winter with Lopez’s velvets and other articles, which Mears forgot to send by Mervin. No news on the sale of Lopez’s consignment from Philadelphia. Agreeable sales of rum and lead. The price of salt is low and Lopez will not get a good deal by exchanging it for seed. “I don’t apprehend much danger here from the Enemy, especially as its near Opening the Campaign and they will have greater objects to attend to, than this insignificant place.”
