Synopsis
-
Crommelin & Sons had sent a previous letter to Lopez by the brig Sally & Betsey, Moses Grinnell master, with three bills on London and a Captain Grinnels’ bill of loading for 3 casks tea shipped onboard this vessel on Lopez’s account. Another letter, sent via St. Eustatia, informed Lopez of the protest of none acceptance of the draft of A. Johnston on J. Marten Leake Esq. Crommelin & Sons had sent Lopez’s seven bills to the commissioners of the United States at Paris for acceptance, but they think that will be duly honoured. They inclose another bill of loading of some goods they had shipped. Crommelin & Sons ask Lopez’s assistance to recommend their services to other American businessmen: “As it is very apparent that the intercourse between your Continent and our Country will much increase; we shall esteem it a particular favor when occasion offers your recommending our house to your friends”.
