Synopsis
-
David returned from Leicester and handed Lopez’s correspondence and Elijah Bacon’s receipt for 4 casks of Port wine to David’s private address. He asks Lopez to confirm the invoice for some goods: clothes, ivory combs, and one hemp hose. These articles had the quality to suit the market, but as they are highly charged, David fears that their sale will be cumbersome. He congratulates the sale of wine had got Lopez´s approbation. David mentions some infamies raised against Lopez. John Reynolds declines to purchase Lopez’s clothes because he has not yet received orders to purchase for the army. Clark & Nightingale had a portion of figured velvets conform to Lopez’s orders, and David will buy and forward them to Leicester.
