Synopsis
-
Mears informs Lopez that he lasted the recent weeks looking for a place to house his family for the Winter. He mentions the “unhappy suffers of Norwalk” and his losses and distress. However, he stresses that his brothers Myer and Asher Mears, although their losses were severe, “think it their duty to join your contribution”. Mears will endeavour to procure payment for a draft of John Willey on Samuel London at Fishkill. He laments Lopez’s losses by the damage of goods by Wentworth.
