Synopsis
-
David says that Aaron Lopez’s expectations do not meet the situation of the market. However, the price of goods did not fall. Bills in France are scarce and in demand. Tillinghast & Holroyd discharged the order drawn on them by Captain Wiley. Since David’s return, two flags arrived from the island (Jamaica?) without any tidings from Captain Wright. “One of those Ganabim, from Connecticut” had appeared in Providence to collect evidence of all Newport refugees respecting the character of Captain Wright and Captain Madsby.
