Synopsis
-
Seixas informs Lopez that he had received his letters from Mr Mendes [Abraham Pereira Mendes]. Seixas thanks Lopez’s words for his loss [Isaac Mendes Seixas’s death]. Mr Blakely returned from Boston and told Mr Mendes that he was taking all endeavours to discharge a Lopez’s note before he goes to Hartford. The goods Lopez sent are not yet landed. Seixas has tried to sell the flour that Lopez sent but he has not got a good price for it yet, although there are expectations that it will increase soon. Crimson and blue Spanish bavies would answer well in the market, and crimson and pink are the colours that sell most. Markets are full of all kinds of goods. Seixas sold Lopez’s deerskins for 20 dollars.
