David informs his uncle that Mr Tracy told him about the interview they had. Tracy expected to meet Lopez in Boston on the following Monday. Goods had not arrived yet due to “the danger which attend our coasting vessells, from the British cruisers that infest the bay”. David shares his satisfaction to know that “a flush of solid currency had circulated with you lately”. David tells that he had not established his shop yet. Prices of new rum that Mr Hastings transmitted him. He passed the rum to Lopez’s credit. The tobacco is still in the hands of Tillinghast & Co. without any prospect of a market. David had delivered the money Lopez left to Mr. Breek. He notes the dispatch of two wagons with flour.
