The Chambre de commerce de Guienne fonds comprises documentation related to the activity of this instutiton. Sub-fonds are divided by types of documents, namely: "edits, arrêts du Conseil" (edicts, judgments of the Council), "registres de délibérations" (records of deliberations), "correspondance" (correspondence), "mémoires et parères" (memoirs and references), "inventaire de Baurein" (Baurein inventory), "correspondance passive" (correspondence), "dossiers d'affaires diverses" (miscellaneous files), and "comptabilité" (accounting records).
The fonds includes some documents related to the Sephardic community of Bordeaux, such as the following:
C 4256, Registres de délibérations, 1756-1765: contains a memorandum rejecting the request presented by Jacob-Emmanuel Dalpuget and his family, Jewish merchants from Avignon. The memorandum points out the contempt of the Portuguese Jews for the people of Avignon and shows a separation between both groups.
C 4262, Correspondance, 1725-1744: includes a letter to the intendant of Bordeaux, who was convalescing in Périgueux, giving a good recommendation of Jacques Diaz Fernandez, a Portuguese Jew. A cargo of flour traded by Fernadez had been arrested following an order of the comptroller-general.
C 4434, Comptabilité; June 9, 1782: contains information about a subscription made by the Portuguese and Spanish nation of Bordeaux, which includes references to David Gradis, the Raba family, Antoine Dacosta, and D. Pereire.

Archival history
-
Since its foundation, the Chamber of Commerce of Guyenne made resolutions to ensure the preservation and classification of its archives. In 1709, it was decided that documents would be kept in a locked cabinet with two keys, one of which would be entrusted to the oldest official and the other to the secretary. Every year, an inventory of the documents was to be drawn up.
Nonetheless, it does not seem that these measures were carried out. In 1734, the Chamber ordered that a new repertory of documents was to be organised by themes. Two years later, Messrs. Roudes, Billate, and Dirouard were appointed to organise the archive. Furthermore, in 1749, the secretary was forbidden to lend any documents without the authorisation of the Chamber. Finally, on August 5, 1756, the Chamber entrusted Crozilhac, its secretary at that time, and Abbé Baurein with the task of classifying and inventorying its archives.
After the suppression of the Chamber, the archives were delivered to the Department of Gironde in September 1792, and an inventory was drawn up on this occasion. Later, the files were returned to the Chamber of Commerce of Bordeaux, when a number of documents had already disappeared. Finally, between 1867 and 1878, the old documents were deposited at the Departmental Archives, where they still remain.
