Synopsis
-
Sloop: Three Sallys. Captain: John Peters. Destination: Cork. In Cork, Peters should deliver the enclosed letter and the cargo to Lane, Benson & Vaughans and follow their directions, endeavouring to obtain their dispatch as soon as possible so that he may not be detained in Cork. He should leave Cork in 15 days and make his way home. If Captain Hyer's sloop should be sold, Peters should give him and his crew passage in the Three Sallys. In case Vaughan ships any indentured servants, Peters may accommodate as many as his sloop will comfortably permit. "The opinion I entertain of your care and frugality makes me think you'll be as saving of any extraordinary charges to the vessel while in port". Lopez had committed a mistake in his letter to his friends in Cork, delivered by Captain Hyers, in which he ordered them insurance of £800 on Three Sallys, not thinking that he had already desired "his friend" in Bristol about the same insurance. So, Lopez request Peters to endeavour to get there before his advice takes place.
