Lopez Papers is an online resource that provides information regarding archival materials related to Aaron Lopez held by the Center for Jewish History in New York and the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati, Ohio. This project is the result of two short-term fellowships provided by both institutions. The information was organized in two databases: Letters and Shipping records. The Letters database provides abstracts, and a few transcriptions of correspondence exchanged between Aaron Lopez and several individuals during the period he lived in North America (1752-1782). The Shipping records database presents information related to voyages of ships belonging to Lopez or in whose cargo he had part. This database was conceived within the Verão com Ciência program (sponsored by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia), and it has been developed by Camila Silva and Lara Rodrigues, graduated students at the Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa.
