The Bureau des Finances et Trésoriers de France à Bordeaux fonds comprises documentation mostly related to the financial and economic management of the city of Bordeaux. For instance, it includes a series entitled "Comptablie" (Accounting), with information on the revenue of products sold in Bordeaux, as well as others related to "lods et ventes" (transfer duty due to the feudal lord in case of the alienation of something) or "recettes et dépenses" (income and expenditure). The fonds also contains some judicial information related to issues under the jurisdiction of this Bureau. It is the case of the series "Cours souveraines" (Sovereign courts) and "Edits et arrêts" (Edicts and Judgments). It also includes information on officials and other subjects, such as the management of roads, weights and measures, as well as numerous correspondence, orders, and edicts.
Some documents of this fonds refer to members of the "nação portuguesa" (Portuguese nation, i.e. Iberian conversos and Jews), such as the following:
C 4097, Comptablie, Conterrolle de la recepte du bureau de la coustume de Bayonne, January 9, 1625: contains information regarding the Louis (Luís) family, established in Bayonne since at least 1625.

C 3846, Enregistrement des édits et lettres patentes, July 24, 1677: contains information on petitions presented by the "syndics" (trustees) of the Portuguese nation of Bordeaux, Gaspar Rodrigues, Medina, Miguel R. Silva and Moreno. It also contains numerous letters of naturalization given to members of the Portuguese community of Bayonne.
C 3857, Enregistrement des édits et lettres patentes, 1709-1713: contains references to Michel Toledo and Jacques Lopez, both Portuguese.
